Shure Beta 27 Large-diaphragm Condenser Microphone
Shure Beta 27 Large-diaphragm Condenser Microphone
The Beta 27 is the only side-address supercardioid large-diaphragm condenser designed specifically for live sound reinforcement, though it's equally at home in the studio. The tight supercardioid pattern gives you excellent gain before feedback and strong isolation from neighboring sources on a crowded stage.
Under the grille, a 1-inch gold-layered Mylar diaphragm provides fast, detailed transient response with an impressively low 8.5 dB self-noise. A switchable 15 dB pad handles SPLs up to 154 dB, so it won't flinch in front of a loud guitar cab or horn section. The three-position low-frequency filter and internal shock mount round out a mic that's ready for just about any source you point it at.
