The RG550 Genesis Collection is a love letter to the golden era of shred, built with the quality and precision of a modern Japanese instrument. This is made in Japan, and you can feel it -- the Super Wizard neck is impossibly thin and flat, carved from a 5-piece maple/walnut laminate that's both fast and stable. The Edge tremolo is Ibanez's legendary double-locking bridge, and it stays in tune through dive bombs, flutter effects, and everything in between.

The HSH pickup layout (V7, S1, V8) covers a wide tonal range, from searing lead tones to glassy cleans. Electric Blue is one of those bold '80s colors that's come full circle -- it looks just as exciting now as it did when players like Vai and Satriani were pushing the boundaries. Twenty-four jumbo frets and a maple fretboard complete the shredder's dream.
