The California Vintage King in Antigua is unlike any acoustic in Fender's lineup. The Antigua finish -- a vintage sunburst-to-cream gradient -- was originally reserved for electric guitars in the late '70s, and seeing it on a dreadnought is a real conversation starter. But this guitar is more than its looks: a solid Sitka spruce top and solid ovangkol back and sides produce a rich, balanced sound with strong projection.
Fender's Performance X bracing maximizes the top's resonance, while the Fishman Presys VT Plus pickup system with volume and blend controls provides reliable amplified tone. The modern "V" neck profile, bone nut and saddle, and 16" radius ovangkol fingerboard round out a guitar that's built for serious playing. Includes a hardshell case.
