The MX2 is Evans' flagship marching bass drum head, and at 22 inches it fills that mid-voice role in most bass drum sections. Two plies of 7.5mil film produce a bright, punchy tone with solid projection that carries across a football field or gymnasium. The black film looks sharp on the field and helps your line present a unified, professional appearance.

What sets the MX series apart is the adjustable felt arc damping system. You get felt strips you can attach to the inside of the head in different configurations to shape the attack, sustain, and low-end focus. Need more articulation for a fast indoor passage? Add more felt. Want the drum to ring out for an outdoor show? Pull some off. It gives your section leader real control over the sound without swapping heads. Level 360 collar ensures even seating on the shell.
