The Vandoren Optimum TL3 tenor saxophone mouthpiece is designed for players seeking a warm, round, centered sound. The medium round chamber and low rollover baffle produce the depth and precision that classical and traditional jazz tenor players need, without the brightness or edge of more aggressive designs. Made from ebonite with a 1.76mm tip opening and medium-short facing.

The Optimum series features a refined beak shape that's comfortable under the lip and a slimmer body than standard mouthpieces. It plays in tune, responds evenly across all registers, and rewards good air support with a beautiful, singing tenor tone. Vandoren recommends reed strengths between 2.5 and 3.5.
